Think About Love

When you're in love, the whole world seems so beautiful.
When you're in love, the sun can break through the rain.
That special someone makes life seem so meaningful,
but when you're alone it's easy to get lost in the pain.

When you're in love, all the flowers bloom in December.
When you're in love, all the birds sing just for you,
but when you're alone it can hurt so much to remember
the person that you thought you'd never lose.

I don't want to think about love, again.
I don't want to remember how my world used to be
Don't want to think about love and heartbreak
I just want to lose this heartache
So I don't want to think about love,
until I find love again.

A lonely heart can be such a heavy burden.
A lonely world is a sad, sad place to be.
The touch of a loved one when your soul is hurting
can heal all your wounds and set you free.

The search for love can seem to last forever,
like the dark of night before the glorious dawn.
It can seem like such a lost and worthless endeavor,
but the hope of finding love keeps us moving on

I don't want to think about love, again.
I don't want to remember how my world used to be
Don't want to think about love and heartbreak
I just want to lose this heartache
So I don't want to think about love,
until I find love again.

I can't stop thinking about love
until I find love again.

    Wow

This just left me breathless. I can easily relate.
You've created beauty in sorrow and lost love.
There is so much emotion pouring from within your words --and so much meaning behind it.

    Beautiful write!

Thanks for entering & best of luck

(damn typos) I really like this. Second one in a row that I've read that mirrors a view of mine. Huh. Excellent flow and imagery, and, obviously, great viewpoint. Mine was An Eternal Dream.

This poem shows how love can be so wonderful and yet can make us ache with loss and lonliness. I am lucky enough to be with the man of my dreams - but it took me years to get here! Great poem.

I wish i could comment on your poem your way but i am in love heels over head with my husband. The only golden rule i can say is when you offer unconditional love, it eventually comes back to be multiplied And also the other love is patient and kind. For once i am not hearing my husband calling Best regards.

A very nice poem. The irony of the last stanza is apparent in the mere writing of the poem, and this only adds to its effectiveness. I can relate easily to the sentiments in this poem as my teenage years were full of unrequitted love. My only criticism of this poem would be that it comes across, in parts, as a little cliched - love, birds, flowers - though at other times the opposite occurs. It might also be nice to examine the other side of love itself, rather than focus only on the positives. Then again, when one is longing for love, the darkness that can lie that way is invisible. Overall a very fine poem.
