Waking on The River Styx

While mine eyes saw the world through tints of rose,
Many others boasted quite a darker shade.
While all the things that no one knows
Are shrouded by the storms we've made.
Our minds be the forfeit of the covering clouds,
Though proud are those
Whose thoughts hover beneath the bounds.
Sound asleep, the Queen Mab whispers unto your ear,
And you dream you've become what you always had feared.
Nearly down the River Styx,
You decide that you'd rather be alive,
So when the lightning finally hits,
You'll be safe and sound inside.

Please tell me what you think

You definately have a sense of imagery that I do not have. My poems are much easier understood. This poem seems to be deeper than just the words...almost like a belief. The title is cunning and I like how the first line shows your views on the world and the last line you decide to be safe and sound inside. Great write. My favorite line is "You decide that you'd rather be alive," I just feel it.
