Fallen Angel

Once so innocent and full of life
She spent her days with a smile on her face
With blue eyes so gentle and full of love
Her happiness has suddenly left this place

She brought such peace to others
As she lived her life each day
With the wings of this angel they saw her as
They never thought she’d fly away

At night she’d fly by the moon
Wishing upon each star
Making wishes for her loved ones
So they’d all know who they are

They never saw within her
That everything could fall apart
They didn’t realize that within her soul
Each word could break her heart

That emotional bright angel that everyone once saw
Disappeared from reality one day
She hid herself from the people who wouldn’t care
And eventually she could no longer stay

The beauty they once saw within her
Drifted downward without a sound
Till eventually all they could hear
Were her tears dropping to the ground

The fallen Angel whispered
As she lost her wings and started to cry
“I may have lost my will to live
But it doesn’t mean I have to die”
