Look at what’s happening,
The sun’s a hazy circle
Through the clouds
And the rain burns the ground
You can see this country alight
From space at night,
So much radiance
The earth is glowing bright
The picturesque view,
The moon against the dark sky
Fading out all the stars
To watch the night melt away
In neon lights
My god this world’s too much for me
Look at the flowers covered in grime
They bleed black
Swaying sweetly in humidity
The rivers overflow with secrets
Secrets of pollution and disease
For miles around, across this country
Forests burn to the ground
Dry heat and national disaster
Look at what’s happening
The ocean level rises
Crystalline blue water spreading all around
My god it’s a sight from Atlantis
Disaster painted beautifully in colors
Snapshots and landscapes
Fire from the sky, fire from the ground
Can’t you see what’s happening?
Author notes
Um, I'm not sure of this one, a mix of things, has to do with what personally bothers me about our planet and humanity right now. And it's part fanatsy because it's fiction and partly about the world when Atlantis fell.
