This little red bike of mine
Got me in some trouble
I used to ride it round the block
Even with my brother.
One day I made a decision
I have no idea now why
But I grabbed my little suitcase
A singlet and my monkey
And off I did ride.
My bike it was my pride and joy
Bright red it was in color
With a matching seat although with sparkles
Everyone saw me coming.
This day I didn't know where to go
My parents had given me rules
They played in the back of my head
But I wasn't going to school!
I found a vacant house block
And hid my bike in grass
Placed my suitcase beside me
And watched the cars go past.
I heard my name being yelled
As I curled up in a ball
Oh man I was going to cop it
As footsteps sunk in the sand.
A hand reached down and grabbed my bike
A hissing noise I heard
Mum was releasing the air from the tyres
But thankfully it was her.
Cold and tired she lead me home
Dragging my bike along with flat tyres
My monkey and my suitcase
Draped across her shoulders.
When she asked me where I was going
I replied "I didn't go on the road"!
Author notes

sounds so free and so cheery.
the scary part was the hand and the hissing part. i thought that the hissing was a bunch of stinging bees. the hand threw me off at first glance. reminds me of running away from home- the suitcase.
