warm waves upon silken sand
under palm tree’s embrace
sheltered from moonlight
peeking over horizon of surf
that pounds unheard on shore
drowned by heart’s caresses
as the tide washes in
snow blanketed pathways
as we run out of the chapel
between snowballs of blessings
thrown by children’s laughter
as we race to eternity together
among the warmth of our hearts
red lines across black monitors
pacing frantically to recollect normality
as time condenses to flashes
that dissolve into graying mists
torpidity terminating reality
into tabula rasa of hope
to inscribe with trembling hand
vaulted heavens swirl into seasons
past and present interwoven
into patchworked patterns
that remain unfinished
the needle gently drawing the thread
through the fabric of love
quilted into red hearts intertwined
his name next to mine
as I sew into the dark night
while he slumbers on

There is nobody wise enough
To find out all that is in it,
For he would be thinking of love

a lovely pome susi, i like this part, warm waves upon silken sand under palm tree’s embrace sheltered from moonlight, reminds of when i lived by the beach and just sit under a palm tree and just listen tot he crashing of the waves on the beach.
