Verse 1:
The sun sinks into yesterday,
And the tears still stain her rosy cheeks.
She was robbed
Of all
Innocence and the childhood
That might’ve been perfect…
Minus the pain and anguish.
Still, she blames herself
When she knows that there was no way out,
And she was lost,
Trapped,
And forgotten,
Left like a wilting rose.
Chorus:
She was fading away
Like the shine in a diamond,
Regretting every day,
Full of forgotten tears she was crying,
And it wasn’t perfect,
But it was worse than terrible.
And still, she was left
To fade away.
Verse 2:
The stars don’t seem to shine tonight,
And she’s left in her darkened world,
And her life,
Is taken
Tonight more than ever before,
And still she’s all alone.
How many times has she cried,
Sitting in a corner where she always is left to be.
And she was lost,
Trapped,
And forgotten,
Left like a wilting rose.
Chorus:
She was fading away
Like the shine in a diamond,
Regretting every day,
Full of forgotten tears she was crying,
And it wasn’t perfect,
But it was worse than terrible.
And still, she was left
To fade away.
How many tears can you cry…
Before you run out and the sorrow runs dry?
And how many times have you cried out for help
Without response?
Chorus:
She was fading away
Like the shine in a diamond,
Regretting every day,
Full of forgotten tears she was crying,
And it wasn’t perfect,
But it was worse than terrible.
And still, she was left
To fade away.
And still she was left to fade away…
