Looking Out to Sea

“Daddy, why did you have to leave me?
Why did you have to die?
It seems as though you left me here,
To look out to sea and cry.

I only wanted for you to let me,
Go out to sea with you,
I wanted you to say you loved me,
And I'd say that I do too.

I came out here to write this poem,
And think about you, Dad.
'Cause you were my only hope,
You were all I had.

Tomorrow I'll go to the Stuart's,
But I want to let you know,
That I really do love you, Daddy,
'Cause I'm my Daddy's girl.”

Aww, what a deep, sad, poem. It's beautiful. If this is true, well done. If this is at the top of your mind, well done. I liked the simple rhyming and stanzas, because they sit there so plainly, but have alot of truth. Great work! :) ~Pixie~

Wow, that picture really did inspire you. It looks a lot like what you write here. Nicely done.
