Pay attention,
To nothing.
Don't even try,
To try.
Focus on nothing in particular,
Except that which comes to mind.
Pay no mind,
Except to each and every detail.
Let thought in,
Then let it leave.
For nothing has substance,
Other than that which the mind lends it,
Nothing exists,
Except in as far it is experienced.
There is no value or intention,
Unless our minds perceive of it.
Peace within chaos.
Enlightenment without study.
.
Author notes
I attended a seminar on 'Stress-relief through Attentiveness', held at the local Tibet-House. The Buddhist way of things makes you think - differently...
And these are Buddha's words on the subject -
With the seen, there will be just the seen; with the heard, there will be just the heard; with the sensed, there will be just the sensed; with the cognised, there will just the cognised... This is itself the end of suffering.
In a list
Do you know what I mean?

Well my friend you made me to think with your words which are not only intriguing but at the same time touching the depth of the unknown spheres of the life...I loved your intensity of the poem which is very forceful and very touchy as well..Your flow of the sentiment is a key to understand this peculiarity of life ..I am really touched with this great sentiment..a beautiful and so touchy work...

This is a perfect mantra. The picture truly looks spectacular.

powerfully inspiring
Author surely has dissected the true meaning of meditation and hence this message. His inner vision has been reflected in this brilliant piece of penmanship. Heavily inspiring and equally elevating... Great -
a good poem, ah the twists and the turns of it all, i like the thoughts here and the word play you have used.

good
i really liked this one its very relexing and i loved the picture. hopefully you write more great poems in the future keep up the good work and maybe you can enter some of your poems in a contest -
I like the message, kind of draining yet enlightening but I felt it was too long. That's my .. well, it's not my only problem, I have another problem but it's more of a personal problem and not worth mentioning (except mentioning that I'm not going to mention it, of course) .. so, I'm not.

Anyway, it's a nice meditating piece.

A problem shared...
Hey Nam, Thanks for the comment and by all means let me know what your other problem is, via the messaging box. Maybe it's something I can learn from?

I found this very interesting. "Pay attention,to nothing. don't even try." What a concept for sure. Often once you say not to think of a item, you automatically do. This write is great! Thanks for sharing this.

Though this is presented as a poem, I think it excellently captures the essence of meditation, and all the dichotomy that it represents. I haven't meditated in years (at least not well lol) and this one really makes me re-evaluate that and want to try again. Thanks for that. ;

awesome! I loved every line of this. The picture was a beautiful compliment. Thanks for sharing. I will be reading more of your work soon. Peace and light always in all ways, Kendal
