The Power of Being Feared

He, mister big shot jock, pushed me into a locker and called me a girl in 8th grade.
She, broke my heart and went to the dance with the jock jerk.
They, never cared about me and ran away, hiding, begging for mercy.
He, always tripped me in the hallways & smacked me around after school.
She, watched it happen and kept walking away.
They, deserved what they got.

He, was the only one that felt and thought the way I did. I'm glad we did it together.
She, cried into my shoelaces before I took her out of her misery.
They, will never forget the ones they took advantage of all those years.

I, never went to prom, homecoming, or anything else with a date.

We, needed someone else to talk to that was never there.

We, killed ourselves because we realized our lives, with jail and despair ahead of us, weren't worth living.

Author notes

this is a poem in the minds of the Columbine shooters.

A sad story, but could use something to make it more... insteresting. Everyone already knows about it, I'm sure, and everyone already knows why they did it (to a certain extent) so it's kind of pointless to re-state the whole situation. The repitition killed it and imagery wouldn't hurt. Sorry if I sound mean, I don't mean to be, I'm just giving some critiques. Thank you for entering, and good luck

This poem is very deep and dark. It was a littel bit to jumpy. By that I mean it needed to be organized better. I LOVE the idea, it was great. The last line threw me a cruve ball, and was very interesting. Keep it dark.

      the last line:

the whole poe was written as if in the minds of the Columbine Shooters. so at the end they took the easy way out and killed themselves.
