Cosmic Cultures . .

Missing image

Do you believe in Cosmic Cultures . .

Are there intelligent energies out in space ?

Aura energies that once inhabited humanoids

But now cultures promoted ahead of a human race

Could these energies be where our souls are headed . .

And do we confuse angels with spiritual beings ?

And are advanced energy aliens now watching us

And are they alarmed at what they are seeing . .

When we pass from this life . .

Will we become part of this energyrace ?

And all our physical frailties be abandoned

As a spiritual graduation takes its place

Perhaps at night when we are sleeping

Our immature spirit actually leaves our being . .

And our dreams are lessons dancing on the fringe

As superior energies assign the illusions we are seeing

Do you believe in Cosmic Cultures

Well in fact it seems most people and religions do . .

But sadly we are so ignorant and so primitive

There is no conclusive collective view

Ghosts, witches, spirits . . plus souls

Have always been apparent and  around

And though attempts are made to interpret them

So far nothing convincing has been found

But I feel the Universe still hides it biggest secret

Yes . . Of that I have no misgivings . .

I’m sure God must have a better life in store

Than the present one we’re living

    Interesting!

Though this is not part of the contest, I really want to respond; please understand, I have witnessed the supposed "unseeable," againa and again and again. No, I'm not an athiest, but I do tell the truth. I have seen and felt "things" that I can't define. Many people try to "grill" me for more, yet others don't want me to move any further into their territory. I'm confused as what to do and, I will figure it out. That's what you need to do, Albert. I'm not staking claim to anything, but I'm not allowing anything to come at me from the blindside. Write to me soon! I truly enjoyed your last poem! Keep them coming. And keep me posted on what's going on in your life, please! I send my love to you and your loved ones, always and forever!--Kel

    Powerful!

Would like to IM you more of what I see in this write. Let me know if that's okay. I really enjoyed this write as it shows depth of character and more, but I really can't say more until you let me know. Yes! It is that good! Wow! I'm tired! If it rains again tonight, I'll sleep very well. I love the rain, even the raging thunder storms. I send my love to you and yours always, Albert. Will fill you in on some details as soon as I hear from you. There is so much going on here, that I can't even begin to explain. Love ya! Write back soon.--Kel

    Reflective

    Albert,

Thank you for the link. My oh my, what a powerful write. As I read each line, I paused before the next... I had to take in what it was I was reading because it felt so true. Mighty powerful, words cannot truly express how .... what's the word? You know what I mean though. Thanks for sharing this. I hope you are well. Sorry, have not been on AP in a very long time.

    With love,
    ~Kalen

This is a good poem about space and mysterious creatures I liked the themes of mystery and the supernatural here. I am an atheist but I agree with the thought that the world (and space) is a beautiful place, maybe even seen through strictly atheistic eyes there is a sense of ‘magic’ in its beauty and mystery. There is so much we don’t know about the world and I agree that it is fascinating. I liked the use of quatrains as these were as regular as the rhyme and made the poem quite easy to read. However, I think it'd be even easier if the metre was a little more regular. I liked the way that the poem is shaped with the questions first and then your answer although with the questions you seem to imply that it's not necessarilly right and simply your opinion. Most of the words were quite easy to understand. Should energyrace be energy race as I've not seen the two words connected before? Or are you leaving out the space to show their connection? The speaker is both a theist and a philosopher- I’m not sure if this was you or just a view you wished to portray. This is an interesting viewpoint for me because I’m a philosopher but an atheist so it’s interesting to see the differences with other philosophers. The poem attempts to raise questions about mystery in the universe and answer what the greatest mystery is. The poem appears to be aimed at a wide audience and perhaps especially philosophers who are interested in these issues. The title 'cosmic cultures' alliterates and is repeated a lot in the piece which emphasises the write. I liked this poem as it showed your view well but didn’t force others to agree and showed the questions that people have always asked about the mysteries of life and the universe.
    Good luck in the contest

Interesting points you make . .

You make some interesting points . . yes I did join energyrace to emphasize a race of beings . . but human race is split so perhaps I should leave a gap but the word race can apply to the advancement apart from the tribe. . . if you see what I mean.

By the same token I could change the forth line of the first stanza to read

“ But now cultures advanced ahead of a human race”

Actually I did this poem in a matter of minutes without a lot of pondering and just from well established thought from years gone by – but once you start to put it under a microscope as we are doing now I suppose it might be better with an polish and edit hehe – but I’ll leave it up as a target for a bit . . and see if there are any other views . .

Thanks for your in-depth comment . . In fact I think most people tend to be philosophers of a kind . . . but it is good to get an atheist thinking about alien matters and the possible make up of the Universe and infinity etc. Things that are hard to explain away without some sort of Omnipotent origin . .

      Albert.

I remember hearing that what we interpret, long, long ago, as wings, is really the light source of movement from that plane to this one... I have hugn on to that iamge that I get from that explanation that came before we knew about movement and light.

I, too believe, no, know, there is another place that is of but not of this place we reside. My experience was that we move in an eyeblink and that we do not move that far.

This is a beautiful and well-written piece to make us wonder, cotnemplate our meanings and mvoements here on earth, and consider the chance that we might have that unfettered alternative.
    I love this, Sir.

I know there's more than only life on this plane, this mortal coil we shed upon leaving...What it truly is, I cannot say for certain...but yes, I am sure of it...Intriguing penning, Albert...I was close to having an out~of~body experience several times; I actually studied its causes & effects for awhile, when I was younger...but I had too tight a hold on myself to ever really let go...Besides, I was afraid if I did, I might not be able to get back in...& there are many things left for me to do here yet...I also studied Kirlian photography; the photographs of auras...It was very interesting...Well done, Poet...You made me think...& remember... Wanda
