Lady Dawn

Missing image
If He knew the Morning
           before there were Skies

And night’s purple cradle
           from which she would rise

The Neon-tint downy
           to fluff ‘round her eyes,

As rocking His Son in
           the Wind’s lullabyes,

Then all who are ransomed
      from dark -
                           bear His name

Bequeath to His tender light
      longing
                           the same.

The passion crescendo's by special request,

Since next to me, He must love -
                           Morning
            the best
!

Beautiful beautiful. I loved that poem, and I love dawn. It's so beautiful to watch the stages of dawn. Faint blue light, to a peachy glimmer in your eyes through the window, then the sun peeks over the horizon and spills onto the dewy grass...Beautiful.Great job.

This is a beautiful poem. I'm not sure what else to say. You've left a writer in a place where expression through words can't be done. Hopefully, when I say "I'm speechless" you understand.

    Excellent

This flows to and fro like a lullaby and was quite relaxing to read which is nice since I am about to go to bed. The imagery was fabulous and makes me want to hurry off to bed so I can wake up early to see the sunrise and I have a date with my morning cup of coffee too. Best wishes

oh, now that was simply breath takeing! how i love that early morning the sounds and smells...... and that oh so quiet wind, wakeing to gently ruffle your hair..... sigh. like being alone with yourself, and watching the world wake from her slumberous reprieve.
    'And night’s purple cradle
    from which she would rise'
rise in coulers of golden hues...... thank you for this.

Admiration, joy and peace. from every line it shines into the reader's soul.
What more can one ask of one's poem? Except a piece of immortality perhaps?
Far be it from me to make such big claims but I would say that would not be a big ask of this piece. No, not at all.

There's got to be a morning after...but of couse that doesn't refer to the Divine Plan and gratitude by the Created for the love extended so freely. The poem was penned from the hair of God dipped in the blood of redemption. Prayers. ET

Cookie, each new dawn brings another wonderful day in our lives, a day we can revel in his glory and remember his promises, and when that sun tips over that horizon, the display is breathtaking, the colors and the sound of that amazing silence, the cool, crisp breaking of the day, its a miracle, indescribable, and we drink it in slowly like sweet nectar that flows from the morning glory as it opens right on schedule.. oh i do love mornings. Beautifully written, passion's crescendo, what a vision!

Oh, CZ... what a beautiful, write...
There is a special feel in the air in the early mornings... even though I am not amorning person, I do enjoy that feeling.

Still half veiled by the soft gray
    clouds looking like crumpled
tissue paper resting on the Atlantic,
the sun’s rays fan out and gently
tickle the sky, making her blush...
    a bouquet of hues!
    Such intricate blends; a painter’s
    brush could never equal.
I wish the sky could sustain her
gentle, pink morning glow, but just
as I must move on, the sun has to leave
her bed of gauzy clouds and rise!

Hi there. Thank you all. Amazin..it IS most certainly a God reference. I don't know any other Creator who had a Son who personifies life but through the Cross for our benefit. I just know how special morning is and the awesome predictability of it taking place ...just as surely as what happens when we accept Him!
