Thirty-Two Angels (Tribute to Virginia Tech)

Thirty-two rain drops fell today
thirty-two clouds blown away
thirty-two pairs of flowers wilted
thirty-two relationships jilted.

Lives are easier to take
than second chances are to give
oh, how that boy did ache
others knew, his symptoms weren't sieve.

He wouldn't get help, he never listened
in his eyes he was God, he had power
his wish was to make the world cower
their blood was gold-glistened.

Ideas all wrong
perverse acts in his head
the day for Virginia Tech was long
a day full of dread.

In heaven thirty-two angels peered toward the earth
and witnessed the campus's rebirth
they truly learned what they were worth
that boys hate did stem
God, oh please God, Bless Them.

Please tell me what you think
