Passion

I want you
For breakfast, lunch and dinner
Let me feel you when your heart is in it
Overlap and indulge my desires
Burn the embers and stoke the fires
Carefree now, but make me love a plenty
Know my deepest thoughts..(if there are any)

Ask the questions others won't
Do me up right, or don't
Sense the need in me and respond in spades
Give me many, many accolades

Hold my hand when I walk through the fire
Grab a plane, take me up much higher
I'll need it
All that you can muster

Closer to me now
Must I show you how
That's not passion
Taking easy routes

Passion lives in hearts that's set to flame
Passion changes one, they can not stay the same
Passion is that inside display of tenacity
That I'll die trying attitude

The.."Let me jump higher, fly farther,do it harder
Super exceed, let me outsource the need
Leaping over every incumberance
Doggedly plying my way

Knowing that in spite of the pressure
I'm forging a brighter day
Turkeys for Thanksgiving
Tea for two

"I need passion...what about you"

Enthused to the point of exhaustion
Turned on to the inth degree
Hearing the call and responding
Forcebly, tenderly, directly, and perfectly

No passion?....
Then your moment has expired

A good hungry opening. Passion is the adrenaline bursting through the heart as excitement fills the spirit with beautiful wonder. I agree with the ending here, yes, if there is no passion then you are not alive at all, nothing but a shell that moves and bleats.

    • Hungry? hahahaha that's a unique way to say it hahhaa I like it lol Thank you, Kind Sir lol

I love this poem, it's going in to my favorites list. This is the kind of poem that blossems a little more with each reading, each thought. (And I know... I've read it three times now, each time more mind empowering) You've brought life to living in this inspiring piece. Pat (May I call you that?)

A deep, emotional and thoughtful poem

    a testament to passion......

I love the fluidic rhyme and rhythm in your work. Your poetry is always such a pleasure to read. I wish I weren't so preoccupied with school, or I'd read it more often. I wasn't sure if there is a typo in this line, or if it's just intentional.

They only mean that when you do something do it with enthusiasm, that's all. if you're going to half step, you might as well no step. Get it?
