Us

the big people
(not so big anymore)

they put things in the ground
they put things in our home
so long ago....

and now
we've a taste for their flesh, now
we enjoy hearing their shrieks through our legs
and we love cutting the screams short
with our chitinous mandibles

this is so much fun

we thought to teach them
how to build the perfect society
(we've been doing it for millions of years, after all)

but
the textures of their tissue,
the taste

so we shall rule now

Sci-fi like is right, but in a good way. Unique. A very interesting read, thanks for sharing. Also, thank you for your comment on my poem "swingset" - I really appreciate it. Always keep writing.
