Catalyst

unparalleled complexity,

beautifully formed.

the scribe knew

that the sonnet

would write itself,

and she was just

a catalyst,

for the unwritten words

that had always

escaped her pen.

and with calm realisation

knew destiny,

was out of her hands.

I like the concept of this poem. Sometimes poems do seem to write themselves. I am sure all creators can relate to this one.

Once in a great while this is the way poems come to me. I'm just the conduit through which the words flow. Recently, though, my muse has been MIA. I love the background. May I use it for a future write?

    Sincerely,
    Leo Long

Wonderfuly amazing! You obviously have some natural talent. I give it two thumbs up! The use or wording captured my attention right from the beginning and held it well after I finished reading it.

  • Beautiful.
Sometimes it does seem like the pen is doing all the writing all on its own...
I liked how the font is close to being perfectly lined up with the background as well.

I love it when a plan comes together; when you are in the groove and the words just flow.

A flea and a fly in a flue

were trapped, so what could they do?

Said the fly, let us flee!
Let us fly! said the flea

So they flew through a flaw in the flue!

Very nicely structured and worded poem, Jan. I wish sonnets would flow from MY pen also! Great work.

    fantastic

This is a great write that probably defines many poets..
I know it gets very close to a good definition of how my poetry gets on paper....  I simply loved this one and enjoyed reading it..... good job
