The sun rises and sets
Rises and sets
Over peaceful blue skies
While somewhere off in the distance,
People loose their lives.
Bombs fly and crash over in Iraq
But it's not our people
Why should we care?
Brainwashed by the media,
In this conspiracy we call America
Words flow in and out of their ears
As if they were merely jumble.
Humans are forced into endless nights
As you dust your room spotless
For there is nothing more important
Than your lifetime movies and your house.
The American ideal is nothing more
Than being able to buy everything you see.
Being rich beyond repair
While others die of hunger in the streets.
Not the land of the free,
Quite the opposite, I say.
The president has us dangling
like marionettes on his string
of useless lies and deceits.
We need to get out of here,
Before we are brainwashed, too.
And leave this horrible place
To find what is really true.
For everywhere you go you hear lies
From ignorant people
With their ignorant children
If George bush is such an amazing man
Then why is he killing so many people?
People are people,
No Matter where they're from
But we give them names like "Aliens"
And kick them out because, to you,
They're nothing.
Brainwashed by the media
Our parents
The country.
The man in highest power
has nothing to offer
Except for his lies
and Deceit.

About this poem.. I've just been really angry at America and how ignorant people are, just believing what the media wants to. I guess that's it.

You know before you talk about America being ignorant for "just believing what the media wants to" I think you should take a look in the mirror... that or actually listen to the media. It is a very well known fact that most of the media is biased against the war and only bashes what the troops are there for. Hating America is truly ignorant and to "be angry" at a country just in general is not only ignorant but arrogant as well. There is good and bad to everything... most people refuse to see the good about America and it's truly sad. But I see you are only 14... maybe one day you will grow up a little bit.
