The problem with entering a poem so short, as this, in a contest that's so grand by points, and entries, is that it has to be just that well written to excel beyond all other entries. I do find it to be a good short poem but no more than that.

I like the dual reading of "he burnt my lips/like fireflies" or "like fireflies on summer's hot cement".
