I am a poet within myself
I am inspired by no one else
I hunger and I thirst for true
poetic delicacies
ranging in uncountable varieties
but I am particular as to what
surfaces from inside myself
my work has to be pleasing to me
it is the essence of my inner self
Compromising my writes for other's
delights would bring death to my creative soul
for this I am out-cased, belittled and scorned
but I care not
I've enjoyed solitude since the day I was born
So, if you know me not
this I say to you
I pen in my own personal style
accept it and me or not
make any comment you want to make
My style is mine dear critics
I love it,
and it's not subject to change!

The best write I have ever read on the true heart of a poet who is true to herself...which should be our aim...at least mine!

And just as any good poet must do, is pen for themselves, if others feel the emotion then we as the author have done their job. I did so enjoy this as it is how I write mine too

This is me! I am, who I am and I write, what I see, feel and think! I can not pretend to do or be anything or anyone else. If I did so I would, in my eyesight be "fake". The world is "fake" enough all by itself!!!!!!!! It won't miss me!!! I like being me.....it's so much easier....I never have to lie, pretend, put on a false face, kiss the butt of someone I don't like, etc. More people should try it instead of Prozac.
