Visualize the snow-capped
Giants, stabilizing the earth;
Erected at great altitudes
Upon her is green, brown,
Yellow and red—beauty and wonder;
Enough to flood the mind in its’
Magnitude
Skin-painted bones, as if it were
A trend; protruding bellies and eyes
Sunk in—children with unbelievable
Amounts of fortitude
Here ‘ye, here ‘ye! O’ worn
And torn Fellows:
Whether thirty or so ‘leagues under the sea’
Or below the thigh at the knee—is something
Amazing. The human capacity to adapt
To change; the brain in people to rearrange
Enlisting as it were, a Lord unseen
Foraging about for the means
And showing gratitude for the emerging latitude
