Immortal sky

To an endless sky I gaze,
in the distance, just a haze.

Sitting motionless up high,
the beauty of a timeless sky.

A beauty which appears to never age,
whilst showing such beauty and rage.

Beyond the night, a timeless portal,
through the years, she is immortal.

Forever through time she shall live,
with night and day she does give.

The keeper of the sun and moon,
a conductor of natures tune.

With time, all things must die,
but never will the immortal sky.

Very beautiful. The sky does seem to take on an imortal feel, does it not?. Great use of personification as well. Excellent. Good luck and thanks for entering Samantha

    BEAUTIFUL

what a tribute to one of the most taken-for-granted wonders we have to behold. absolutely love this. it's light. has a 'sitting on a cloud, able to breathe' feeling for me. i love nature and marvel at it everyday. you are 100% right in your note. nature is pure. it contains all that has ever been felt. it is ever-changing and ever-offering us the chance to behold it's splendor. but too often, we are blinded by our meager lives. i wish more people would just take a moment out of their day to concider what is all around them. i believe the effect would be astounding. but, this is all simply my opinion. i am so very glad i read this. it is wonderful.

I totally agree with your author's notes. Nature is indeed the most beautiful thing to trigger one's muse. Unfortunately It's quite hare these days to get technology completely out of the picture. A well written poem with a good rhyming the flow is a tad bit off here and there, but apart from that you did really great
