The darkness is hidden
Hidden within beauty
And hidden in the open
The beauty surrounds
And floats
Flittering
Fluttering
Flattering, perhaps?
But cannot penetrate
The dark, chaotic spirals
Anguish
Over a love that can never be
Hidden within beauty
And hidden in the open
The beauty surrounds
And floats
Flittering
Fluttering
Flattering, perhaps?
But cannot penetrate
The dark, chaotic spirals
Anguish
Over a love that can never be
Author notes
If you like this piece, find amazement at a butterfly, when next you see one. they really are beautiful creatures. This poem was inspired mostly by the chaotic looking spirals of hair. To me the girl looks tortured, and sad, even though she is surrounded by such beauty. the blackness will consume her. Very sad...

Wild beauty perhaps? There is indeed an attractiveness to some aspects of chaos. The ringlets of hair, manic expressions, artistic flourishes with the brush, will movement of a dancer. Very wise.

That is somewhat devastating when someone cannot reach their potential for whatever reasons. Good write. I like the wording of this write. Well done.

You have really captured something great in this picture, the twisting emotion in this piece is awesome,
I really got a lot out of this poem,

Beautiful write. Sounds like the thoughts of an admirer knowing he (or she?) can never really have their love returned.

I like the imagination and the search within. It is a deep prodding beyond superficiality and that's so refreshing. Best of luck!
