Tuscany: Firenze reflecting in a cathedral window

this charmed land of natures grace
blessed and sculptured in earthy tones
fused in rich green vines arrow straight
so vibrant and full
of gentle hills and snaking roads
where moss-coated castles stand guard
o'er town and house so singular in purpose
a languid place where time dozes
bewitched and laden in history's pages
written with brush strokes of sun and wind
an artist' palette of smoky haze
and silhouetted cathedrals raising dappled spires
to touch heaven
and testimony to an angel's graceful poise
this place of dreams
and open skies...

This sounds so peaceful and lovely, a place where I would go and just lie under a tall tree just to imagine what was beyond. Thank you for entering the contest and good luck.

Oh, what a gorgeous place to write about. I just love Tuscany. This is a fantastic write! So vivid in imagery, really grasping the true heart of Tuscany and all its beauty, both in architectural masterpiece and nature’s beautiful landscaping. It is a marvelous conception of such a gorgeous place. This poem is written so creatively, skillfully and majestically, it leaves me in awe. I reread it just to experience it over again. I absolutely adored this poem in it’s entirety, but those last few lines, I found to be amazing, such a steaming finish, “and silhouetted cathedrals raising dappled spires
    to touch heaven
and testimony to an angel's graceful poise
    this place of dreams
and open skies...” I also absolutely adore the title. This poem is beyond excellent, it is superb! Well done!!!!
