Beautiful figures fly gracefully across the sky,
Partnered and happy, my heart sinks in watching.
My cloud is lonely, dark against the light,
How can this be Heaven when all I shed are tears?
Wallowing, wishing, wanting deeply,
Searching for you from afar.
So long must I try to reach before feeling alive;
It's a lie -- a hideously drawn illusion!
In life I walked alone, my death is no different.
From the other side I looked into your happiness,
I wished to bathe in your light and, in it, be held.
Tearful wishes never granted.
I cry over the edge and hope a tear lands on your hand,
Look up and remember me, dear love, I did it often.
This is but another earth I walk upon, lonely;
Heaven will not greet me until you come to call.
