Open your eyes.
You're falling again
And where you go
Who knows what lies
Your mind can use
To twist your heart
And make you cry.
Do you know what you'll lose
If you take the plunge again
And let it all in?
You're going to have to choose.
Too late.
Open your eyes.
You're falling again
And where you go
There's nothing but lies.
Author notes
Falling asleep, falling into dreamland is not the way to escape. It's just another lie.

Business first; again is spelled wrong in the second line. But WOW, Liz! This is awesome. It makes me feeled trapped, like I want to look over my shoulder. What brought this poem on? I liked the break around 'too late' and the repetition at the end. And I like the title. Honey, this is great!
