After meeting the Chief I find-
Wisdom and experience instilled in this man
in charge of the land his tribe calls their own.
Seeing and caring, protecting and aiding
this man is filled with courage and hope.
His life is to be honored, his choices never easy
he takes his role seriously, never disgracing the title.
Sadness surrounds his life, his eyes are growing weary
who will take his place in the future is a great concern.
The Chief knows it will take a great man to lead
until then he remains The Chief.

Liked how you interpreted the picture and came up with these couplets to describe him. He looks so proud and that last line works well in this poem.

Well thats unique! Nice view as well, I believe in your words too. The line "never disgracing the title" really sums it all up.
