"Encounter"

                 

In the long safari of my life,
Faces I would meet from day to day.
But this particular morning,
I saw the sun rise in a meaningful way..

The “hi” from a stranger awakened my soul,
Starting a new leaf in the chapter of life.
Though a hesitant spirit prevailed at first;
Having experienced quite number of hurts;
But this was dissuaded by the smiles on his face
Giving assurance that  the friendship will stay..

The encounter with him was a special kind,
For his presence indeed brought a lingering comfort;
Offering friendship in the truest way,
Having been inspired by the love up Above.

This sweet encounter I will treasure for now,
Knowing this path I must needfully tread;
Although in my heart, my prayer is this:
That this will become a lifetime encounter;
Still, in the hands of my God will I trust,                                                                          T
For a genuine encounter to last a lifelong…
