Sometimes when I miss you
so much that I can hardly breathe,
I look up at the stars
falling from the face of heaven
and I wonder:
Do you ever think of me
when the sky rains down around us?
Sometimes when I miss you
so much that I can hardly breathe,
I can't write a poem, not a single beautiful word,
when you're not there
scooping up scars and patching them back into
something which I could fall in love with.
I miss you so much that I can hardly breathe..
Not just sometimes..
but always.

Lovely
Actually, love... it IS poetry. Heartbreaking, gut-wrenching-soul-stabbing poetry. I hate this feeling, because we are on intimate terms, IT and I. The pain of love lost (for whatever reason) is bittersweet and if it gets out of control- down right poisenous. It has driven men mad, turned normal people into stalkers and reeked havoc on many a heart. Personally- I'd rather write a poem about it... or better still, read yours! This poem is beautiful because it is raw and real. (and totally twit-free)

I love the way that the first two verses begin with the same two lines... and the way that the same lines are used to bring the poem together at the end. And the use of real emotion brings it to life, as if the reader's feeling it too. A really nice write. x

I like that this is real and not just some calamity of words. It's sincere and thats what really counts.

i guess both of us belong to the same group... lately your poems seem to be more personal and expose the rawness of your emotions without much artistic cladding... how i can relate with you... and how i wish i could post something like this... but i don't think i can, because it will be like going through hell's fire...
i suggest you to breathe... after all your motto is "breathe me!!"

Definitely sometimes it helps our writing when one we feel deeply emotionaly attached to reciprocates those feelings. Poems are thoughts, and senses put into words; you have done that here.

in your author's notes you wrote "it's not poetry"...i believe the opposite. i had found a definition of poetry once that is "the art or work of a poet", and to me this is art, this is work and i loved readig this piece! the way you have worded your feelings and the emotion. and that it is true emotion made it more special. it speaks so loud. and so many can relate to this. i really loved the last stanza...when you do miss somebody, it is hard to breathe. its hard to just be! thank you for sharing this wonderful piece.
