Tis but an Errancy

Caps in air, Tassles turned - "Congratulations!"

Thyne ears decieve, voice contests the face, Illusion of hope,
Souls dropped from the sky into dead assembled from the terra.

Tis but an errancy, for fate is naught but cruel.

A euphoric day, still I weep for the departed heart meant to rest next to mine.

Author notes

My school seems to be losing people quick and it saddens me to think that someone's friend will not graduate. A sad day that should have one more to celebrate.
I hope this is what you were looking for.

This poem does convey your point well, and yes, this is the kind of thing I was looking for. It is sad... But in a way, many things that are or should be happy have a sad story behind them. Thanks for your entry.
