mentaly ill

repeated actions.
under the stairs.
dark deppression
there is no light there.
trapped and lonely
at just seventeen.
my sisters faces are twisted in two.
one when she smiles at the stars and the moon.
the fire within her shines so bright tonight
as i hold her hand she smiles in delight.
but deep down inside me i cry hidden tears
for the love of my sister that hasn`t known me in years.

Author notes

i wrote this poem
because when i worked with the mentaly disabled people they were so full of love
and i just felt gods love surrond all of us each day.

    Stunning !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I nearly cried at this. This is deep and very very emotional. What a piece of writing this is. I used to look after people with Alzheimers. It is a terrible terrible condition.

Loss of memory in a loved one is the worst thing - other than death - that can happen to a family. I have an auntie who has this at the moment. Your words are very very powerful indeed. Just one spelling mistake. 'Deppresion' is spelt, 'depression.' I thought this was just breathtaking reading.

These are words with great impact on the reader's mind, reflecting the devastating effect it had on yours. I once thought that minds that have no option to become tainted by the conditionings that are rammed down our throats every day by mainstream media and the environments created by society, just express what they think and feel, which is often nothing but love. Sad as it may seem to us, there is also a side to it that makes us envy them, realizing also the lack of skill and knowledge to survive the madness of every day life, would kill us almost instantly. Thank you for creating and sharing. It was good to poder your poem. Take care,

    U

    Deep and Emotional Piece

This is very very sad. Wonderful flow and the imagery is really good. Emotion pours through this. Written from the heart. Well done for this. Keep writing, you have great talent. If this piece is true, then I am so sorry for your pain.

What a powerful write this is, my friend. It tugs at the heart more and more within every line. Such a sad piece of writing, but none the less, it's one of my favorites you've written. I love the style it's written in, and it has such sentiments...such emotion behind it. The ending definitely leaves the readers thinking about and feeling what we just read. Impacting finish to a wonderful write all around.
