Hi there,
It's me again!
Your friendly neighborhood Dandelion!
Just popped up from the soil
To say "Hello!"
And make sure all my seeds are blown
So that my yellow mane
May come out of its shell.
Then, I can share my buttery beauty
With all who gaze upon this lawn.
Ah, here comes an admirer now!
A human who will
Surely think I'm gorgeous.
Good Morrow, Sir!
Now don't be shy,
It is ok to want to
Bask in my wonderous glory.
But wait-
You do not look happy at all.
In fact,
You look rather angry
When you stare at me.
Hey,
What are you doing with your hands!?
You have clasped them too tightly
Around my stem!
I am afriad I will sna-
OW!
That man tore of my torso,
Though I did nothing wrong,
And walked away smiling.
What a jerk!
Well, at least he didn't get my whole root,
I guess I'll just have to grow full again.
And it will only be one more week
Until I show my face again...
Maybe THEN he'll be happy to see me!
Author notes
I don't care what anyone says, I think dandelions are pretty!

I never knew that dandilions thought that way. I like the dialogue throughout the poem. It was good.

You are a fine dandelion!
Yes, dandelions are pretty! But not in my lawn.
and the greens are good to eat, sometimes... not too strong. Dandelions got started in North America when a woman from England snuck a plant in because she wanted to put the greens in her salads.
Hey, cool poem and made me smile because it is such a happy write!
I love it the way you made the dandelion tell his story and with dialogue, and thoughts so delightful!
