Twenty different shades of gray
& then not even beginning to count
Its all fading slowly away
Where have all the colors gone now?
[I used to live in a world
where clouds would melt
& rain would cease to pour]
You never tried to hold me
& I wished that the stars
would shine brightly
[But you let me down
& left me cold]
But in the end tears will fade,
just like numbness that is
taking slowly over my heart,
don't try to fake it
don't bother trying to hide.
[I will never feel whole again
& neither will you
& I forget]
What made us fade?

i didnt like those bits they felt clique and not very poetic.
i really liked the beginning
"[I used to live in a world
where clouds would melt
& rain would cease to pour]" especially good.
however, ths is not about depression is it? it's about breaking up i think.
it doesnt describe the feeling.
so it wasnt really what i was looking for but a nice write nontheless.
