Hissing V Fauna

Snapping, snarling sarcasm
Beating through the bushes and skulls
False smiles and sinister intentions
Viewed through heart-shaped sunglasses

A protective mother bear
Grasping tightly to ignorance and adoration
Demanding little in return for love
Giving all in highlighted bursts of joy

A storm
A bitter rivalry
Another broken chariot attempt

A fawn split down the middle

As greed's claws shiver into his flesh
Seizing his heel in another desperate cry
Of "Family", rapidly followed by "Police"
Denial of release and risk of infection

But begging and demanding for release
The fawn's foot twisted in agony

Eternally internalizing
As his life and death finds it's climax

And the rest of the world
Awaits the day
When the gangrenous foot may be removed

Wow... so strong... and beautiful... and abstract... and nearly all the things I love in a poem... Good job! The name confuses me, but I suppose it's supposed to be unclear. Or maybe I need to think about it more. But seriously, when the contest is done and I find out who you are, I need to read more of your poetry!
