Without ceasing, without rest,no peace in sight
I am haunted, haunted by the wind
It follows me like a dark demon
moving me this way and that
No matter where I turn
no matter what I do
it finds me.
A pawn I am to the wind
it's a master of destruction
pulling me towards paths unknown
while the light in my soul is all but gone
there is no escaping from the haunting wind
for all ages it will seek me out, destroy me it will
with all my being, I am lost.

This is truly a work of art. You have penned such an intense overwhelming feeling in this piece. Sadness leaps from the page and the whispering wind can be felt in the shivers of ones self. Well done poet. Keep writing. Yours is a voice to be heard.

"A pawn I am to the wind
it's a master of destruction
pulling me towards paths unknown"
great lines....and meanings..
the poem is a little light in alliteration, though...it needs something to give sensory images the depth they need.
