I’ll Keep On

While I’m going through hell
I’ll keep on smiling
Even with all the worries
I’ll keep on piling

On the straight and narrow
I’ll keep on going
With an upbeat attitude
I’ll keep on growing

And within all my sadness
I’ll keep on living
My heart is filled with love
I’ll keep on giving

I think your ability to write is like riding a bike poet. Once you learn the balance secret, you seldom fall off again. You are a poet. The muse sometimes takes a hiatus but it never quits. The mood of this poem is inspiring. I agree that no matter what we must still forge ahead. Very sound and intuitive writing here J. It's been a while since I've read your works and on this day I am happy that I read this one. I needed these words.

Congratulations on the Honorable Mention. This poem is definitely worthy.

    Much Love ♥

I like it, it's one of those, there is a glimmer of hope in the world style poems. Good rhyming scheme, it's simple, but it's effective, good pace to it, and even the pace itself suggest and upbeat nature to it. Cleverly written. "On the straight and narrow", easier said than done let me know how that works out for you. Well done, great write.

I think this is a great write. It is uplifting and full of hope. A possitive even in the negative. Very nice. I wish you the best in the contest.

I enjoyed the simple message of hope contained in this poem. It has a real sense of movement about it with all the "keep on" lines. Great stuff. Stephanie x

Hmmm. This isnt as complex as your other writes, but that isnt a bad thing at all. I think this is a good start to coming back. I think its time for your muse to come back from vacatio now dont you? What did you do to make her want to leave so long?
    lol
Well, I am glad to see you back and trying. I still think the Devil on AP was the best thing ever written lol. Miss ya my friend!
