I push and pull until you turn around
but you will never see me on the ground
I fight and claw to get your attention
but around you you're too little to mention
I dance I flirt to catch your eye
but in front of the mirror my soul dies
But you will never see me that sad and that blue
I stand up and take the punches just to please you
I shout and I drink and you think I am fun
make sure I am never pale under your sun
I strutt it and show it as if I have any
and make sure you know you will never get to me
I smile and I cry to show you that I feel
but I make sure you know it's not that big a deal
But inside I am dying when you are not by my side
I let you long to save me but never be my white knight
I try hard just to please you when I say I don't need you
