He ogled at her,
and it nurtured her ego,
(to say the least.)
She flaunted what he
lusted for;
as he yearned for
a mistress.
See, he and his significant (other)
stood back to back on
marital morals and
pleasure.
She loved him.
He loved playing cards.

Hehe, interesting piece. I must say the end was a surprise. I thought this was very well written but I could be biased because freeverse and imagery are my favorite things.

This is filled with a lot of good imagination with the graphic.
The format is nicely done and so are the use of words.
I appreciate the time you took with this.
The best of luck in the contest.

Love the interpretation! Great Write!

I loved this from start to finish. I wondered at first if you were actually talking about face cards, but then the last two lines make it clear that you're all about something else. ANyhoo, it's short, but potent, which is super. Good luck in the contest. >pixxie<

Your first line is definately the attention puller. I don't know what other people would feel about it, but I would have been pondering about it if I wouldn't have read your entire poem.
And I know that I'll never be disappointed when reading your words. Really, it takes quite much to impress me, but you skim through it as if it's nothing
