Waiting

I sat there for what I thought to be forever.
He never came and he will never know.
I waited for him even though he never showed.
Now I cut the pain away, and I bury all my fears.
I tried to say I'm sorry and I tried to walk away.
But deep down I will know that I was always there for you.
Even in those lonesome times you were never there for me.
What can I say to make this pain subside?
You were never there and I waited.
