All of my life

All of my life,
I’ve been searching
To find the secret
of living an empty and quiet life
Far away from lust and pain

All of my life I want to give
To find days
Without longing
Without needing

All of my life
I want to escape
from what I regret
But how do you escape
Most of your life…

All of my life I want to give
To find days
Without longing
Without needing

Interesting woman will have to wait
Even if their impatience makes them prettier
For I know all the pleasure they bring
It’s just costing me time

To find those days
Without longing
Without needing

Please tell me what you think

humm well.. i am not sure what kind of life you would be leading without longing and needing? the poem is worded wonderfully and i like the use of stanzas, but the fifth one sticks out as rather uncharacteristic of the poem... which could be because of the length or the subject matter. maybe it is meant to be that way?
