My Little Angel Child

My inner child can't come out to play today,
She is punished to this very day.
For being a little blond haired girl,
With big blue honest eyes.
She must have smiled too often,
Or giggled at a cloud.

But I'm the parent now...
And I say laugh out loud.
Smile the biggest smile,
That could light the very world.
For little angels should be heard.

So giggle to your hearts content,

And run up and down the stairs.
Play with all the puppies,

Get mud in your curls.
And for heavens sake,

Give me plenty of big hugs,
Every chance you get.

A kiss and a little dance,
And off you go again.
So play on, my tender inner child,
Till the sun begins to set,
And bedtime for the weary,
Comes for sleepy eyes.

Then rest in precious slumber,
My little angel girl.

For I love you little one,

With wisping blond hair and big blue soulful eyes.

And I say...please come out to play

Yes, it is so important to let that little child in us come out to play. By doing that it helps to heal the hurt some. When we begin to truly love and accept all parts of ourselves, especially the little child we once were, than we can begin to grow and heal. This is beautiful, and thanks for entering my contest. Blessings, Patty

I do like this poem a lot. It shows a great level of knowledge of parenting, the best parents allow children to grow creatively. It is not always true that you are only a child once Good luck in the contest and best of luck in the future.

    excellent~

She was being punished by being a blonde hair little girl
but I had to grin when you penned that maybe she giggled and smiled too often at a cloud....
Indeed let a child live their life to the fullest....
Do let one laugh out loud and do let one go out and play...
Excellent sis..Best of luck in the contest....

Such a joyful feeling in this of the inner child and the fun they have with the simple joys of life. Love the image of giggling at a cloud and the other images are great, too.
    Good luck
