Living

Can't say I remember a time when
I realized I had been blessed with life.
It was just there, taking up space.
Seems like the most natural thing of all,
and yet it is a miracle beyond comprehension.

Wow, this one took me. The simple way in which is begins rolls so smoothly into the deep water of truth and appreciation. It caught me off gaurd. The final line of the piece falls like a hammer of truth upon the conscience and inspires gratitude. Gratitude for life, for the simplicity yet miraculous nature of being. Congratulations on the HM. This one will stick with me.

      Thank you

I am deeply touched by your words. For me, helping another person see me through my words, or understanding what I am painting with words is the ultimate goal.

Great job on such a short write. Only 5 lines to say it in, you have to be precise. You did it very well and congratulations on the HM.
