Loves Power

Can you imagine not finding at least once,
the bond that binds from heaven above,
a place of safety where we truly can be,
everything our maker placed within reach.

The power held in the word love,
seals man to woman, life to eternity;
no matter trials present in life,
its depth holds the soul tight.

Some think that love is a game,
but to deny the intensity of its power,
severs a connection open from Eden's day,
would be an abandonment of lifes tide.

To each that find their hearts resplendent,
wading the depths of love complete,
a million exploding stars will scatter,
brilliance of light through soul and mind.

The tears that flow from eyes aglow,
lost in the foreverness of what's real,
one love that is the essence of two souls,
is a sacred gift all should know.

There is nobody wise enough

    A Power That Can Heal

Awww, Sis, this is so beautiful and so true. The power of love is so much more than most people know, especially in this day and age where love is nothing more than an overused word applied to worldly things and lusts of the flesh. You have done credit to Yeats, rather better, in fact.

I did notice this line that you might want to reconsider: "a millions exploding stars will scatter" -- I suspect you meant either "a million. . ." or "millions of." Either way works!

This is gold and, in my humble opinion, it should garner the gold.

    Much love and hugs, SisB♥n

    very beautiful and true!!!

Omnia Vincit Amor. Your poem celebrates the great power of love in transforming the universe. You have expressed yourself really well. Words are carefully chosen and the poem flows smoothly. These lines were my favorite:
"The power held in the word love,
seals man to woman, life to eternity;"
Thanks for sharing and good luck in the contest.

    good

I found the imagery to be absolutely perfect, and the vocabulary chosen great. The only things lacking at all are the rhythm and flow of the sequences of words, as it is hard for the cerebral tongue to speak the words smoothly.

    A beautiful interpretation

This poem is deep in meaning - personal and spiritual. God is so good to give us an iota of the Love He has for us. His plans are perfect and His purpose for us here in this lifetime is to find and give love.

This is truly beautiful. I am bookmarking this one to return to it later.

    Love and hugs
