You ask “what is hell?”
It’s not where you hear a bell
It’s in the ground
Where you hear no sound
As if you are in a deep sleep
Only those alive can weep
Your friend who died
Doesn’t know you cried
He neither toils nor plays
Waiting for Jehovah God to raise
Him up in the resurrection
As God’s word, The Bible, gives us direction
At Revelation 21:3,4 says “and death will be no more”
And Jesus who has the keys to Hades doors
Will release all those in the grave who come out
With a glorious shout
To live here on a paradise earth
Where life will have so much more worth
This is what I know
Because God’s word, The Bible, tells me so

Thank you for entering, but sadly because you have not stayed within the ten lines requirement I cannot consider this entry for the award. Thanks anyway.

Powerful write. There is profound imagery in this piece. The feeling the poem gives is one of loneliness. I think Earth can be like hell sometimes, as well as sometimes being heaven. I think it all depends on what happens in a person's life and how tragic a person's life is. Death of loved ones can have a profound affect on everyone in life and everyone grieves in their own way.
