Searching To Define Love

Are not these eyes filled with adoration,
as they gaze upon your lovely face.
Can you not feel the depths of emotion,
for they defy confines of time and space.
Will not the surge of electricity charge you,
with a single touch of arm's embrace.
Do you know that my love is always true
and of doubt, I have, not a single trace.

Can I hold you close within my heart,
to feel your warmth, would be divine.
So saddened am I, when we are apart,
Tis as if I have lost, nature's wine.
For lips long to linger upon your cheek,
with thighs nestled together as one.
Til limbs quiver, to fall away weak,
beneath the rays of both moon and sun.

In the quiet moments, past needs release,
I want to rest deep within your eyes.
For only there can I find sweet peace,
of a future filled with rainbowed skies.
Love is the tonic that keeps us well,
filling us with nourishment for the soul.
As we pen serenades and poems to tell,
for protection from its loss so cold.

My breath sits harshly within my chest,
waiting silently to know your heart.
Feeling as if the oceans will crest,
and the tides will tear us apart.
Swallowed within its swirling depths,
swimming aimlessly towards your shore.
Tis not the ocean but my many tears wept,
that are rocking me to my core.

And then you turn and softly speak,
those whispers I've longed to hear.
In a voice that is unsure and meek,
I can trace your silent fear.
For to open yourself up to another,
to trust them with your heart and soul.
Leaves you vulnerable like no other,
with the fears of lost love retold.

Hoping it will flourish and grow strong,
searching its excitement to find the center.
Praying it will last a lifetime long,
and gaining the courage to blindly enter.
I accept the risk with outstretched hand,
as I draw your tender lips to mine.
