Traverse

where whispered words slip away
from truthful meanings
from the known crossties
of lies
into the saturation
of silence

wholeness settles
in the niche of nothingness
tracked down
by love

Author notes

"In the clouds it is hard to see the exact forms of things. Everything seems vague; the imagination runs wild, seeing things that are not there. Your words must lift people into the clouds, where it is easy for them to lose their way."

The Art of Seduction by Robert Greene

this is beautiful as always Myra.

Ironic how small that sound of whisper is - yet we give those sounds in soft voices so much more belief and wanting than we do those words that are shouted from rooftops sometimes.

    such a lovely write indeed.

I love the alliteration suggesting a lover's murmur carried by pervasive but pleasant sunshine through the trees, leaves, hearts and minds of those who long for love to be in every breath and syllable.
In every quiet moment, in every gap our soul left unfilled.

I see this as a work on the balance of tension of existence. Truth with lies, Substance with vacance
Stress and relaxation. My percieved conclusion is that love is the path.

    Tracked

Watched, listened, smelt, felt and known. Excellent, detail is in the beauty of experiencing the other as profound as the experience for the self. Truly inspiring words Myra

Hence the difference between seduction and being sen-soul. One obscures the truth and one depends upon it.
    Three happy bunnies for this!

      Thank you, Zayra ...

for hosting this wonderful contest, and for the recognition of my work. You know I did not write for a trophy, but it is always such a pleasure to enter your contests. I am so glad you said you loved this poem: love is an energetic word which always gives me such a warm feeling inside ...

I would never have written Traverse if not inspired by you. I am glad I did. It is a good example of what I personally strive for in poetry: to take the reader to a spiritual zenith and towards expansion in awareness. Thank you, precious Soul.

      Love
      Myra

ah, now I get it- yes I have written on silence many times with the same meaning, and silence speaks much louder and clearer more often than any words can.

Our train of thought runs only as far as tracks are layed. Beyond that there is nothing. But Love, the intuitive communication between souls and their Source. Ack,

Hi, I don't think I understand this, because it sound like you are saying in a very beautiful way that there is a place past truth and lies - it's better not to see any of it with clarity. But I know that can't be what you are saying.

I don't know why but this struck me as very sad. Lately, I've been feeling that way a lot. Best wishes in the contest.

    Sincerely,
    Leo Long
