Peace

Oh, those glittering signs of
old - painted with
florescent hypocrisy,
that drips
into the lazy warmth
of the early afternoon sun...

While I, lying here,
think about the infinite,
and the long lost...
I feel the colors of myself
dissolving into
this 5-inch lake...
drowning myself in
nothing.

The brilliance of such hues,
it swallows me,
and I,
happy to give myself for life,
breathe in one final time.

Author notes

I really hate it when a poem is obviously trying to throw at you it's authors moral values, and even more when the moral ideal they're blathering on about is cheesy, but even having commited both of such crimes against humanity (XD), I post this, with some sort of hope or end goal that as of now I'm not quite aware of.
(Well, now I edited it a little, and I think it's not so obvious. What do you think?)

Please tell me what you think

i'm surprised this hasn't been commented on yet.
i won't lie and say "Oh, i so get this piece".
But i will say that i did rather enjoy the images and emotions (nostalgic emotions) that this piece did evoke. Nice work.
    Thanks for sharing.
