So Whatever

[Verse 1]
You’re sittin’ there in the sun
With your Diet Coke and cigarettes
Showing off your stockinged legs
Chatting up our neighbour’s friends
You sneak out when you think I’m asleep
Out the door, down the street
Around the corner and to a waiting cab

[Bridge]
Hey well, fuck you!
I don’t even need you
Oh yeah, that’s right
This is our last night

[Chorus]
I can’t believe that I was so blind
You said we’d be together for the rest of our lives
But now I realize we were just another lie
So whatever
Screw you, stuff that
I can do so much better than you
Than you

[Verse 2]
Suitcase thrown on the bed
Many thoughts rushing through my head
Ripping through my clothes
Off the racks and in they go
CDs, books and magazines
Crappy junk from you to me
It’s time for me to go.

[Bridge]
Hey well, fuck you!
I don’t even need you
Oh yeah, that’s right
This is our last night

[Chorus]
I can’t believe that I was so blind
You said we’d be together for the rest of our lives
But now I realize we were just another lie
So whatever
Screw you, stuff that
I can do so much better than you
Than you

[Verse 3]
Writing you a note
While pulling on my jeans
In between words
I’m tying up my Connies
“I can’t believe you’d do this
You’re so friggin worthless
But I guess you won’t even realise
That I’m gone
That I’m gone”

[Bridge]
Hey well, fuck you!
I don’t even need you
Oh yeah, that’s right
This is our last night

[Chorus]
I can’t believe that I was so blind
You said we’d be together for the rest of our lives
But now I realize we were just another lie
So whatever
Screw you, stuff that
I can do so much better than you
Than you

Hey Tommy, was sitting here reading with my 2 sons aged 12 and 14, and was saying it sounded like an Avril song, then read the author's notes....brilliant as always
