Nature's cold breath rests on window pane
Frosty formations are born
Anticipation grows for chance of snow
Waiting for flakes to dance their way
Down through the atmosphere leaving
Beautiful shapes of icy crystals each
Unique in their own special way
A flake begins to flutter it's way
Down leaving a design on the window pane
Nature's fingerprint so delicate and sweet
Such a delight on a cold winter's night
To witness such a miraculous sight

This has great imagery and I can picture it in my head. I love the way you described the snowflake especially. I love this poem! Great job and good luck in the contest!

Wonderful imagery. I enjoyed your descritions very much. Down here, we don't get snow, so this was a wonderful vision of nature's artisty. Thank you and good luck in the contest.

Excellent
A pretty picture you paint of patterns on a window pane in my mind's eye as a little girl growing up in New Zealand in winter on those frosty mornings! My childhood came flooding back to me. Excellent write.
Hugs and love,
