The Hollow of Real

The trees caught fire while singing a horrid song
and people ran about screaming through the night so long.
But we just slept in on beds, dreaming sideways,
Of those times between the trees on those long days.
We huddled close in the rain as our nightmares where drained,
and the rain washed away our cheeks, blood stained.
Every where there was screaming, people screaming.
All we could do was hold, scared of the world, only dreaming.
Touching, scratching, squeezing the life out of eachother.
While in the next room, I forgot about my little brother.
I never thought i'd loose you, the boy i met before.
Sometimes I wonder if you love me anymore.
I remember all those days spent alone under the hollow of my chest,
I tried to make you happy, i really tried my best.
I gasped all the air in, and held my breath, I can say I tried.
All of those dreams, to be your bride.
Garbage, mold, grey, brown, blue, green, like you, on the inside.
There is just something about that inside, the love that i own.
That something in there just surprized me, left me blown.
When you touched my hand and my skin, I shivered.
So much color in those eyes, kindness, cold, It made me quiver.
I guess this is just to say how I feel,
How much i miss that feeling of love, you were so real.
