Warm winds fly
in the cool of the day
and only the dry mist
speaks of the vibrancy...
Monochrome landscapes
with unending changes
sing in monotone notes
of a soaring love...
Rooted in discontent
only the grasses
blowing slowly
live properly.
Please tell me what you think

Bravo!
I see them reaching to the sky and to the sun!
That is where the heart is happiest!
It is lovely to read a poem of yours!
I hope you are well and have a happy heart! Jane

Ahh..Dear Presence, You know me well enough now to know I'll have to argue that point.
Truly, those who experience the coming and going of this magnificent breath as it enters and leaves filling this vessel with LIFE - These are the ones who live properly.
A heart rooted in discontent is a heart that knows nothing of this gift of breath.
Love to you dear soul. Tara
This only applies to Human Beings not grass or gorillas.

It seems perfectly clear when you put it that way, that observing contrast and wishing for something different is a very unsettling way to live. I think that animals also can live properly - I like the way your last line is so provocative.

Just wonderful, sweet Presence.
As warm spring breezes stir the colors awake, this piece breathes into the depths of us.
Live properly. I like that. Properly and purposefully.
Bravo!

"only the grasses blowing slowly live properly",has occured to me too in moments. So small and seemingly insignificant. Yet the absolute essence of life's struggles alive.
